We offer academic counseling for the Graduate School (admission in Spring 2025).

The application deadline for the graduate school admissions at Hokkaido University is in July, the entrance examination is in August, and the results of the examination are announced in September. Applicants are required to have an interview with a faculty member with whom they wish to have research supervision, and submit a statement of purpose at the time of application. You may think it is still too early, but considering the various preparations, six months is as shorter than expected.

In our department, the Master’s Course in Nursing in the Department of Health Sciences consists of 1) a midwifery course (curriculum to prepare for the national midwifery examination, requiring a Japanese nursing license) and 2) a nursing course (curriculum specializing in research). In addition, we are also accepting graduate students for the Doctoral Program in Health Science, Nursing Science Course. At the counseling sessions, we discuss future career paths, the purpose of studying in graduate school, and the research you would like to perform.
